This Event is Open to All ISELP Members.

ISELP will be hosting a live stream event direct from Paris, France featuring world renowned:

Professor Jean-Marie Denoix, DVM, Phd, Assoc. LA-ECVDI, DACVSMR, Certified in Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP) President and a Distinguished Panel of ISELP Certified Members

This unique opportunity is available to equine sports medicine veterinarians who are members of ISELP.

Participants will receive an advanced video of the anatomy portion of our traditional modules prior to the broadcast. This will be sent digitally to all registrants.

A dedicated email will be established for your questions to Professor Denoix in order for you to ask questions in real time.

This live stream will be credited as part of your ISELP Certification process. You will receive aproximately 17 Hours of CE Credit for this Course.

The Foot and Pastern module uses clinical case presentations and demonstrations to cover the prognosis, treatment and management of some of the most common conditions of the foot and pastern that practitioners deal with in everyday practice.

Conditions reviewed include prodotrochlear syndrome; collateral desmopathies and enthesopathies; subchondral bone conditions; distal and proximal interphalangeal joint arthropathies; desmopathies of the sesamoidean ligaments; and digital tendinopathies of the deep and superficial digital flexor tendons. Special emphasis is placed on the corrective shoeing of the different conditions using kinesitherapic shoes.

Lectures Provided By:

Professor, DVM, Phd, Assoc. LA-ECVDI, DACVSMR, Certified in Equine Locomotor Pathology (ISELP) President

Professor Denoix of the CIRALE (Center of Imaging and Research on Equine Locomotor Affections) in Normandy, France is considered the world’s foremost equine musculoskeletal system anatomist as well as a leading equine diagnostic ultrasonographer. Dr. Denoix is a founder and current president of ISELP and was also the 2006 recipient of the Schering Plough Equine Research Award from the World Equine Veterinary Association for outstanding applied research work in Equine Diagnostic Imaging. Jean-Marie has been the invited speaker at many international meetings in more than 30 countries around the world on topics related to clinical examination and imaging of equine locomotor problems.

Nathalie Crevier-Denoix is a 1989 graduate from the Veterinary School of Alfort (France). Agrégée in Veterinary Anatomy in 1993, she defended her PhD in Biomechanics in 1996 and became Professor in Anatomy in 1999. Since 2003 she is the head of a research unit devoted to Biomechanics and clinical research in equine locomotor pathology in Alfort. After a thesis of Veterinary Doctorate on the radiographic images of the foal limbs during growth (defended in 1991), her research activities have first been focused on equine tendon biomechanics. Since 2006, she has supervised two successive research programs on the biomechanical effects of track surfaces on the equine locomotor system. In 2016 she became board-certified in Equine Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (diplomate in the ACVSMR). She has published 40 peer-reviewed articles and about 150 conference abstracts including about 45 as invited speaker.

DVM, HDR, PhD in Biomechanics, Large Animal ECVDI Associate Member

Graduated from the National Veterinary school of Alfort (ENVA) in 1992, he spent 6 years as a Lecturer in Anatomy at the ENVA. During this period, he performed his PhD in Biomechanics on the "Kinematic analysis of lame horses".

Since the opening of the CIRALE in 1999, he is in charge of the imaging platform of the center: radiography, ultrasonography, bone scintigraphy, magnetic resonance imaging and CT.

In addition to a strong involvement in the clinical activity of CIRALE, his research studies are orientated towards mainly advanced and comparative imaging of the equine locomotor system. He is also involved in research activities orientated towards the development and validation of new therapeutic approaches for joint and tendon injuries.
